TEA LIGHT WORKSHOP

These lovely designs are created by applying frit (crushed glass) onto sheet glass (generally clear) and then firing the finished design in the kiln.

With the workshop you will be given clear squares of glass for you to use as the background for your design. You will also be given instruction in what frit is, how to apply it to your design, and help with designs and ideas. You will be encouraged to mix frit before applying it to your designs so as to give more natural colouring to the finished piece.

The class uses sheet glass, frit (crushed glass) and stringer. It also introduces slumping of the fused glass.

The workshop is suitable for beginners.
