SEASIDE PICTURE

These seaside pictures start as a single piece of clear glass. Onto this base is built a mix of coloured sheet glass, frit (crushed glass), stringer (fine pieces of glass) and glass powder are applied.

Time is taken to choose the colours for the houses and to find complementary colours for the doors and windows.

The seagulls are made from stringer that has been bent in a flame.

Once all the pieces are assembled the finished work is then fired, mounted and framed.
