LAMPWORK BEADS BRACELET

LAMPWORK BEADS BRACELET

These beads were made using  a technique called lampworking. This involves heating rods of glass in a flame, and then carefully building up the bead shape using a stainless steel rod. These beads have a core of blue glass, around which a set of dots have been equally spaced. These dots are gradually expanded using different colours of glass, and then special silver glass is used to get the final colouring.

The beads are then annealed in the kiln for around 10 hours, before being cleaned and strung alongside smaller spacer beads, and Swarovski crystals.
